As everyone is aware, for the last several years, California has been making cuts to education. This has included laying off teachers, increasing class sizes, etc. With the continued budget crisis, there is no relief in sight. However, we cannot afford to skimp on our childrens' education. That is why I was excited to learn about an organization founded by Alex Abad called Commissions for Education. To be a part of this great public service, its members must commit to donating at least 1% of their earnings to local schools. I proudly joined today and hope that we can make a strong dent in the public school deficits in the South Bay. For more information, you can go to http://commissionsforeducation.org.
